By Metro: The nearest station is Moyua (Ercilla-Guggenheim exit). From there, walk down Elcano Street toward the estuary, keeping the Government Civil building on your left. At the Euskadi roundabout, take Ramón Rubial Street until you reach Bizkaia Aretoa. The walk takes approximately 10 minutes.
By Tram: The nearest stop is Guggenheim, located right next to Bizkaia Aretoa. The walk takes about 1 minute.

Bizkaia Aretoa, designed by the renowned architect Álvaro Siza, is an iconic building of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) located on the prestigious Abandoibarra Avenue in Bilbao. With a constructed area exceeding 9,000 square meters across six floors, the building offers a variety of spaces suitable for academic, cultural, and scientific events.
The architecture is characterized by a mixed structure of steel and concrete. The north and east façades, serving as the main entrances, feature large rectangular windows, while the façades facing the library, Deusto Bridge, and Plaza Euskadi are clad in white marble, which is also used in the interior staircases and between the handcrafted grey tiles that adorn the main wall.
Since its inauguration in 2010, Bizkaia Aretoa has established itself as a reference point for hosting various events, organized both by UPV/EHU and external entities, significantly contributing to the cultural and academic dynamism of Bilbao.
